There is a lot of energy in terms of wildflower project work across the north which is the foundation and building blocks for a flowerhouse. To build a culture of positive change. To make this flowerhouse real, we need to link projects together, and add up the beauty and powerful lessons and examples from different places, and make sure other people know where they are. It is a powerful message, this makes this work stronger, and individuals can feel less isolated, knowing other people are trying to do similar things. It is important to share, show and meet to demonstrate how important it is to bring colour, diversity and nature into our life experience, to make healthier and imaginative living spaces. Following the kind of principles expressed in the Northern Flowerhouse Charter.
This includes the importance of parks, participation of citizens and new alliances and collaborations between cooperative business and the community.
The work links to the richness of life and designing and creating better environments near where people live work and play, in public and in private spaces, and how people can participate in changing their environment to become part of the Northern Flowerhouse.
Linking to education of new landscapes and ethical ways, and encouraging links to local food growing and healthy eating. With linked events and celebrations which link to sowing and summer celebrations.
